SCCAPG President to Present on APG Chapters at PMC in Kansas City, 2018

Looking forward to presenting about maintaining and creating a chapter of APG at the upcoming PMC (Professional Management Conference) in October (I'll be speaking on Sat, 10/6). I've been gathering information from other chapters to learn how we might be doing some of the same things and learned that we are REALLY looking good! We host webinars, we do the Jamboree Research Assistance (which we did host in May/June this year, but forgot to blog about it), maintain a fairly active Facebook page, do panels for local societies to help answer questions about hiring or becoming a professional genealogist (next one is October 24 at 1pm in Banning - and we could use a couple more participants!), host an annual mini-PMC, and a few other things that let people know we are here. Many of our activities help our members fulfill their Continuing Education requirements, set by APG (in fact, if one were to attend the PMC and every webinar we offer, over half the Continuing Education hours would be taken care of).

So, if you will be in Kansas City (Oct 4-6), please come support our chapter (or your own, if you are part of one) and join in the discussion that should surely become the talk of the event!
