This library has two specialized collections: the Spanish book collection located on the first floor and the American Indian Resource Center.

The American Indian Resource Center (AIRC), is run by Michael McLaughlin. It is the largest public library collection in the US that focuses on American Indians. AIRC materials include audio cassettes, books, CDs, films, magazines, microfilm, newsletters, newspapers, and videocassettes. They have the complete sets of Indian Census Records (1885-1940) and Records of the Indian Claims Commission (1946-1977). Michael is a great research librarian. Use his expertise.

Hours: Tuesday – Thursday 10-8, Saturday 8-6. Always call the AIRC first to make sure it will be staffed when visiting.
